Off to the UK and GNUF....Got It?

Yes, well, the UK part is clear.  It takes an entire day, but we leave Funchal, Madeira at 07:40 a.m. and arrive Huddersfield, England at 07:40 p.m.  Not bad actually for a flight to Lisbon, a wait for the flight to Manchester, a train ride to Huddersfield and a taxi to The Premiere Inn!

The next morning is a slow one and around noon we head out to the meet up place for festival information for GNUF....The Grand Northern Ukulele Festival 2019.  Some of the first folks we run into is Peter Luongo and his wife who we last took a whole day class from in Seattle last November.  Then a woman we met several years ago in Santa Fe, New Mexico arrives.  However, I do not see The Jacket....yet.

This evening there is a welcome jam at The Magic Rock Brewery....limited menu for food items!

Wait, it’s happening again!  Here’s Trudy from Arizona, who we met at Tunes in the Dunes in Oregon last September.

And, yes...Myrna is here!  We left her at the airport in Lisbon, yet...here we all are ready to play together again!  (Silly face for me...surprise?)

Sometimes Bratwurst is just what you want....or, it could be, the only thing there is!  So, it’s just what you want!

Enter Daniel Ward and Heidi Swedberg.  We can’t wait to take classes with these two fabulous folks again.

Now...this little blue fuzzy goat (?) is available from Petey Mack for a photo op.  How can you pass it by?

Speaking of Petey Mack...there he is leading the jam and welcoming Heidi Swedberg.

Tomorrow begins three days of workshops, stage presentations and jam sessions.  Oh, and rain.  After all, it IS the UK.
