Of Castles and Falcons...and Rain...

Today is our last day with our ukulele buddies and life using a Scottish farmhouse as base camp.  It’s only fitting that we tour nearby Dunstaffnage Castle in the morning, have an incredible buffet lunch at the farmhouse and then....the afternoon fills up with a visit with falcons!  We’re OFF....!!!

Yep...it’s really really raining today.  All. Day. Long.

The castle is well signed, interesting and...well...cold!  Just think of those fair lassies shivering inside the stone walls....

Lunch made us feel better!

The falcon exhibition was incredible.  We met Finn, the falconer, in an open field.  He brought five birds to share with us.  Each bird was released and then, with food dragged along the ground and some audio cues, the birds proved why they are called “Birds of Prey.”

Oh...no...time to pack!  Some are heading home tomorrow, some are heading on.  Five of us are headed to Edinburgh to see what the second largest city in Scotland has to offer.
