Today we wave goodbye to County Kerry and our grand experiences in Dingle town. Yet, before us waits County Clare and the Cliffs of Moher!
Bittersweet....
Something about the road ahead that is so inviting! Well, and winding. Stay left, left, LEFT!
Why, hello Beauty! Why are you so blue?
See that sign for the Wild Atlantic Way? The zig-zag is accurate! Don’t know what the (S) means? Maybe...MANY zigs and zags?
A friend at home recommended we take the ferry across the Shannon River to get to County Clare and the Cliffs...so...of course we do. Here is “Miss Mini” who welcomes you to the ferry landing!
Here comes the ferry....every 30 minutes, even though the sign says every hour. I ask, “Is this the ferry?” They say, “Yes! Don’t believe everything you read on signs!”
Ok.
A few hours and we find ourselves at The Cliffs of Moher! The visitor center is amazing, built under a hillside. The interactive displays rock it! But, then....oh my. We walk out onto the actual cliffs. No words. Even for me.
After a few hours enjoying the “view” and the tourists taking selfies walking backward....????....it’s time to head to Ennis and our hotel for the next two nights. What would be a drive in Ireland country without a road shared with....sheep, or goats, or COWS!
And then, dinner and MUSIC!
Ennis....the town of pubs and music....some of it before we call it a day! Yay!
