We’ll Always Have Paris.....2018

Two weeks in France!  What an amazing idea.  First, one week for Nan and Steve to explore the “City of  Light” (Paris) and one week joining a “Barge, Bike and Ukulele Adventure!”  We are off on a British Airways flight, overnight from Vancouver, B.C.

The Vancouver, B.C. Airport is a work of art.  We stop by the floor to ceiling aquarium to
check out just who lives in the water in this part of the world.  To get to this area we walk past a stream running past a lounge area, over rocks forming little waterfalls....the incredible feeling
of the outside, being inside!

A little pre boarding snack in the British Airways Lounge.....We could get used to this!....

Our transportation awaits...the biggest passenger airplane in the air today, 2 levels, multiple doors, 22 crew, and then...500 passengers?!  This turns out to be a very quiet aircraft and for this flight, very smooth.

Monday morning we are ready to start exploring Paris!  We arm ourselves with a two day pass
for the Batobus, a river boat that is hop on hop off at 8 different stops.  We also buy a bus pass.

Steve has downloaded an offline map of Paris, so, he begins the explore with a moment of
awareness....as in, “Where are we?”  ....and where are we going?  Both good questions!

Why not the first stop...L’Tour Effiel?

This also happens to be a pick up place for the river boat....

We decide to hop off at the Cathedral Norte Dame.

By plugging our headsets into our phones we listen to Rick Steves and his audio tour of Norte Dame.

Stand here...and you will be in the very center of Paris.  A good start.

Once again, we light a candle for health and safety for family and dear friends....a sense of powerful prayers zooming around this cathedral!

Later in the afternoon we find ourselves on the Champs-Elysees.....and finally, a fine dinner of...French onion soup and baguette!

I keep thinking, I should be really really tired...but...so many things are interesting...
