Greek for a Week...and It's Only Tuesday!

Our uke lesson this morning, with Mike Hind, focuses on song writing.  This is something I never really dreamed of accomplishing and yet he makes it seem SO possible.  First a few stories about Mike's songs and how he wrote them, and then a few tools to make the music appear, after the words.

We hardly notice the rain this morning as we are busy with inspiration to become song writers.

A excellent cup of espresso from the Bistro keeps the afternoon going strong...

Mike Hind entertains us with some of the songs he has written and the stories behind the words.

Katerina prepares yet more food.

The a few games.  Games?  We fail miserably at Brian's idea of trivia....all Scottish based?!
Then there is "Truth Or Dare" ukulele style.  The idea is you play a song with or without lyrics, NO song sheet in front of you. That would be, from memory...or you take the dare, which means you must attempt a random song someone chooses for you...but you get a song sheet.  Then you get to pick the next victim!  Gulp.  Steve plays Scotch and Soda, I play Under the Moon.  (Thank you, Kate Power for writing this song and introducing it to me!!)

We survive!  Ukulele peeps are SO supportive!!  Can you feel this moving toward an actual performance???  Stay tuned!

Tomorrow it's on to a day of exploring Hydra.  Early-ish departure by taxi, for Poros, to catch our high speed ferry!
