Distractions....

The biggest problem with the packing seems to be....well...the packing.  There are just too many distreactions to make packing happen.  It's morning...the water is flat...oh, best do a quick paddle before the wind comes up...and the packing will have to wait.

Why not a paddle???

But wait....Ramie and Tim ....oh, and John...and...???  are flying kites!  We need to watch for just a minute.

Thursday night...and it's Licho's night for playing guitar and singing....some of best Spanish songs and music around.  We HAVE to go and listen one more time.  Listen = margaritas...oh, and dinner.

Jim and Barb show up because....it's the last Thursday....for many of us...

Steve taking video of Bill and Dori dancing!

Licho and drummers
Ready to clean up and load

A quick look out in the bay locates a return of the little whale shark!  Off we go in the kayaks...but this time he/she is too quick for us and out of sight it goes.

Better stop for lunch outside the front door

Camp Simpson 2014-2015 Season
Finally all of this is taken apart and either stored in our Muelege storage container or packed in the belly of the RV beast or on top of or inside of the Jeep.  Somehow, with 2 days of packing, we are ready to "go" or not...but we are going.  It's Saturday at 2:00 p.m and off we go to San Ignacio.

We hitch up at the shrine above Playa Burro....and then on we go.

Shrine at top of hill headed away from Burro Beach

One last look out the window at the beautiful Conception Bay

We are over the Santa Rosalia "hill" before we know it and sighing with relief on our way to San Ignacio and Rice and Beans RV.

Yay!  A cool refreshing pool!

Lovely morning breakfast at Rice 'n Beans....

Flowers!

The pool feels super after long, hot hours of last minute packing and shaking sand out of EVERYTHING.

After San Ignacio it's up the road to Catavina and a beautiful night at Santa Inez.  The stars are the brightest here of anywhere we know.  What a special place in the high desert.

Then down the road, not far....about a three hour trip, to the San Quintin area and a fabulous crab dinner at Celitto Lindo.

Little did we know that the "smooth sailing" part of the trip north was about to take an abrupt change!

Yum!!!

A delicate beginning....

Carnage....the ending...of a kilo of crab claws!
We go to bed thinking, well, up and off we go...up to Ensenada....how wrong we are!
